Omisore, accept defeat

The whole hullabaloo about the hotly contested Osun State governorship election has finally come and gone for the good people of the state. The winner in the person of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress deserves congratulations and commendations. It behooves on men of goodwill, especially his closest rival in the person of Chief Iyiola Omisore of the Peoples Democratic Party to accept defeat in the spirit of sportsmanship and congratulate the winner in good faith.

Politics and leadership are all about human development and our leaders should remember that people will always judge them by their actions and not by their intentions. And the quality of a leader is reflected in the standards of leadership they set for themselves. We are all leaders at one point or the other in our respective human stratum of life. My congratulations to the entire peace-loving people of Osun State, co-contestants, especially, the winner, the APC and Nigerians in general.
